KeySentry Products and Services
The KeySentry system consists of a computerised, steel safe, in which all your vehicle keys are stored. Controlling the access to this safe is the powerful and sophisticated KeySentry software.
All users that have access to vehicle keys are biometrically registered into the KeySentry system. The biometric system uses fingerprint recognition technology. Each time any of these users wish to return or remove a key to or from the safe, that user must first be verified and the authorised to do so by the KeySentry software.
Attached to each set of vehicle keys is a tag, and built into the key tag is an intelligent microchip. Built into the safe is an electronic tag reader that is able to read details on the microchip. The KeySentry system monitors this microchip every time the key leaves or enters the safe - thus building up a large and manageable database of every single key request or deposit transaction that takes place at the safe.
With additional tag readers mounted at the Entry and Exit booms on your premises, and with KeySentry controlling these booms, KeySentry is able to monitor and record when vehicles leave and enter your premises. A vehicle may not leave the premesis unless authorised to do so by KeySentry.
Not only are your vehicles keys safely guarded, but you now have a very powerful tool at your fingertips - data and information inside the KeySentry database. A tool that enables you to closely watch over the performance of your sales staff, provide your customers with a superior service, reduce current spending on theft, expensive key re-cuts as well as more stringent vehicle and key control.
In order to access a set of keys in the safe, you first have to biometrically login to KeySentry as an authorised user. You then have to request the specific keys by entering relevant vehicle data and other information.
KeySentry will then verify your biometric ID and look to see if you are authorised to take the specific key that you have requested.
Once authorised, KeySentry will place your key in the safe's key bay, from where you can collect it. You will not be able to see, or have access to any other keys in the safe. KeySentry is therefore able to determine who took which keys, when and for what reason.
